Typically grown from seedlings, plants may be male, female or bisexual, and this can’t be determined until they mature and begin flowering, so planting a few is ideal to help ensure reliable fruit set. Flowering in autumn in Australian conditions, it thrives in full sun with well-drained soil and is highly drought tolerant once established, requiring minimal pruning.
