Jaboticaba 'Yellow'

This yellow fruiting species of jaboticaba has a sweet tangy flavour similar to pineapple. A very ornamental tree even just for its foliage, with its lime green leaves having an unusual soft, almost powdery appearance, and golden green pendulous branches make it a worthy feature in the garden for its highly ornamental nature. The jaboticaba tree has a habit of producing the fruit directly on the trunk, making this a striking tree. The yellow fruit has an edible skin. The texture is similar to a grape with a sweet and aromatic flavour. Cropping can begin at 5 years with several crops maturing from spring to autumn after heavy rainfall.
