Dwarf Hibiscus tiliaceus ‘Variegata’ (Sea Hibiscus, Tricolor Hibiscus, Variegated Beach Hibiscus) is an Australian native coastal shrub with variegated foliage. Huge heart shaped tropical leaves are speckled, splashed, and striped in shades of green and cream. New growth is pink, and deep burgundy. It produces large, hibiscus-style yellow flowers that age to orange-red. It’s ideal for feature planting, or growing in pots. Grows 1 to 2 m high in full sun to part shade and tolerating wind, salt, and a range of soil conditions.
