Dwarf Mango ‘Falan’ (Sweet Green)

Falan (sweet green) mangoes are a Thai variety of mango with green skin and a sweet, crunchy flesh. They are also known as Fah Lan, Fralan, Fahlan, and Thunder mangoes. Falan mangoes are versatile in cooking and can complement sweet or savory dishes. They can be eaten at multiple stages of ripeness, from young and firm to ripe and softer. 

Taste: Sweet, slightly tangy, and crunchy 

Texture: Firm when young, softer when ripe 

Colour: Green skin that turns golden when ripe 

Size: Small to medium, weighing 180g–360g 

Tree: Slow-growing, compact, and reaching 3–4 meters in height 

Season: June–August 

Culinary uses: Fresh eating, smoothies, salads, pickling, vinegar or fish sauces.
